Our Programs


The Ballet Program provides classical ballet training in the Vaganova method for ages 3-18. Students have the option to supplement their training with other styles of dance such as jazz, contemporary, hip-hop and tap. The Ballet Program offers performance opportunities in full-length production ballets as well as the annual recitals, and the opportunity to audition for participation in the Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) regional competitions. Students in the Ballet Program may also take classes in the Open and Competitive programs.



The Competitive Program is a jazz and contemporary based program with a strong emphasis on performance for ages 6-18. This program is for the committed dancer who enjoys multiple styles of dance. Students take a variety of technique classes in ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, acrobatics and tap. Dancers compete in regional and national competitions, attend conventions and perform in all AAD productions Students in the Competitive Program may also take classes in the Open and Ballet programs.

Interested in becoming a Competitive Dancer? Auditions are held every May for the upcoming dance year. If you missed auditions, but would like to be considered for a competitive group, please contact the office at 232-3686



Open Classes

Our  open classes offers a broad spectrum of dance styles for all ages and levels as well as the opportunity to compete at local competitions. This program is a perfect fit for the dancer who loves dance, but requires greater flexibility and time in their schedule to pursue additional interests. Classes include ballet, tap, jazz, acrobatics and hip-hop. Open students perform in the Children’s Recital (ages 3-8) and Year End Recital (ages 9 & up) and may audition for the Nutcracker.
